Genuine Flos Taraxacum S1 88 suspension light.

Designed in 1988 by Achille Castiglioni, one of his master pieces, this stunning light could be a dramatic focal point, either in your home or business.

Constructed of 20 interlocking triangular, pressed and polished aluminium panels, each with 3 light fittings, this light looks almost sputnik during the day with a warm glow at night with a dimmer. The clear glass lightbulbs, polished panels and, the glowing light filaments, provide direct and reflected light creating a stunning visual effect.

60 clear bulbs are housed around the structure making it look like a Dandelion flower that has gone to seed. This is where the lamp derives its name 'Taraxacum', the latin name for a Dandelion.

The ceiling rose and the fittings are of steel and the light weighs approximately 10.6kg. The ceiling rose diameter is 18cm.

With bulbs this light is 800mm wide and comes with sufficient cable to suspend up to 5.5m from a ceiling.

This light retails in New Zealand for $6,395 excluding the bulbs, well above that with bulbs included.
