Description

Antique convertible treadle hand crank sewing machine: "The Barnett" manufactured by Gustav Winselmann, Germany circa 1860. This machine still sews, either by treadle or by hand. The decals are grapevines with a little birds on the bed. The treadle platform s quite ornate and has copper paint highlights. The hand crank is porcelain. It has a few attachments and it's own little oilcan. The original manual comes with the machine. It is pretty tatty but mostly all there. One of the leg rollers has disintegrated, they are wooden. The metal axle is still there. Also no treadle belt, but these are available at any sewing shop.

Pickup in Glenfield.
