Description
This is a vintage planimeter in its original case and in pristine condition.
It is made by WF Stanley & Co Ltd of England in 1937. It has an instrument number of 3179.
The Planimeter contains 3 parts - a pole weight with steel pin that acts as a steady pivot - a sliding tracer arm with a pointer and handle - a carriage with measuring wheels - a magnifying glass. The pole weight is connected via a hinge to the carriage. A calibration scale is in the case.
Pick up is Silverdale.
