This magnificent English Oak Long Case clock has just been fully restored without compromise, including the movement, case, dial, and bright work. This is a rare opportunity to own a high-quality time piece of this age in such stunning condition.
This involved a complete restoration of the solid Oak case. The timber is in amazing condition and completely borer free. The colours and grain in the timber are truly beautiful. It features carved wooden columns with a wonderful rich shine that gives the clock real presence.
This beautiful time piece features an opening door with glass over the dial. Below the removable hood is another lockable door through which the pendulum and weights are accessed. The hood features two columns each side with brass end caps.
The movement has just been fully serviced. The result is this beautiful clock runs perfectly, having a gorgeous slow tick and keeping excellent time. It is set to give another 200 years of service and is sold with a 12 month mechanical warranty!
The clock also features a wonderful hand painted dial with black Roman numbers, decorated with gold painted patterns in each of the four corners. There is a subsidiary dial for the day of the month and the matching hand carved black hand are stunning!
