King Edward VII 1906 gold half sovereign in good (uncleaned) condition. Mint mark 'M' indicates that this is a Melbourne mint Australian coin.
The coin is presented in a leather and stainless steel sovereign purse (see photos). Designed to hold both full and half sovereigns, this purse is also of Edwardian origin and is in very good order.
It bears the initials: D.R.G.M Registered number 536106.
The coin would make a good addition to any bullion coin collection and the purse is a valuable 'collectable' on its own.
