Description
Large 47mm diameter sterling silver prize medal.
Inscribed "Awarded to W. H. Gibson Champion Romney Marsh Ram" on one side and "March 1919" on the other side.
S & M (Stokes & Martin) engraver.
In the book Teutenberg by John Cresswell and James Duncan the obverse of the horse, cow and sheep is shown on medals from the Auckland, Mahurangi and Poverty Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Societies.
Also the Wanganui Agricultural and Pastoral Association. However this medal is from the Wanganui Agricultural Association Incorporated.
