Description
Nice Gold and Quartz Specimen with flecks and tiny nuggets dispersed throughout. Weighs 11.74 grams in total, but the total gold weight would be minimal unless there is more gold inside. I plan to do a specific gravity test to see if I can determine gold content and will add the results in the comments.
Please have a look at the other gold specimens I've listed.

I did a specific gravity test and came up with 1.3 grams of gold. Seller comment Monday, 13 May 2024 Did you do a re.test a******9 (16 • 10:00 am, Wed, 15 May )Hi. My initial test came up with 1.3 grams, but I will retest today to confirm. nzarrow (410 • Wednesday, 15 May 2024 )I repeated the specific gravity test meticulously and came up with the same result of 1.297 grams of gold. Seller comment Wednesday, 15 May 2024 Thankyou a******9 (16 • 2:40 pm, Wed, 15 May )All good nzarrow (410 • Wednesday, 15 May 2024 )I listed these specimens too quickly to get in on the TM free selling day and hadn't done my homework. It's a bit embarrassing, sorry. When I first weighed the quartz specimen I was unaware that the batteries in my scale were just about to give out. I've replaced them with new batteries and got a different result. The dry weight is 11.73g. and the wet is 7.60g. resulting in .91g of gold. I would be happy to withdraw the auction and start again at $1 reserve to make things fair. Seller comment Friday, 17 May 2024 Hi there. Any idea where this came from? Thanks :) j**6 (1520 • 8:41 pm, Sat, 18 May )The three specimens were in the leather "poke," which I've also listed. They were in my father's estate. He was a geologist and prospector in the 1940's. My guess would be Southern Arizona as that was where he was based. nzarrow (410 • Saturday, 18 May 2024 )? It is questionable now as your just told us that it hasn’t got over a gram now?if I win can we negotiate or? c********3 (69 • 6:13 pm, Sun, 19 May )I can remove your bids if you want me to or restart the auction at $1 reserve to be fair to all bidders. Which would you prefer? nzarrow (410 • Sunday, 19 May 2024 )Restart would be great thanks c********3 (69 • 6:22 pm, Sun, 19 May )
