Age: 1930s-50s Provenance: unknown Country of origin: China Material: dense rosewood Condition: front is perfect - no chipped nose, teeth or anything one might expect for this age. Back has a split from some fool driving in a nail instead of a screw.
Some say this is a Chinese emperor but I lean more towards Manchurian sage, given the fact he has a dogwood flower, revered symbol of new life, in his headdress. Size: 25 by 18cms Weight: 825g
