Description
You are bidding for this very old “Tutankhamun” sculpture originally purchased over 50 years ago at an elegant Jewellers Shop in Luxor, Egypt. This bronze, pewter, gold leaf and immaculately hand painted figurine opens to expose “Tut’s” mummified body, (study the attached photographs). This is without doubt an interesting talking piece worthy of prime display. It weighs just short of 1Kg, is 185mm (H), 65mm (W), and 75mm (D), with a felt rest. An absolute stunning item for only $1 reserve. Child King Tutankhamun was a Pharaoh, born in Egypt 1342BC and die of Malaria aged 19 in 1324BC. He ruled Egypt from the age of 10, married his half sister at aged 14 and had two daughters (both died at birth, and were buried with dad). King Tutankhamun, (also known as King Tut), was found in his Tomb surrounded by Gold articles in an area known as Valley Of The Kings, in Luxor, Egypt. His Tomb was discovered in 1922 by British Egyptologist Howard Carter, and “Tut” (still in his Tomb) is currently displayed at Luxor History Museum (behind serious glass protection). This beautiful Effigy will be securely packaged and dispatched to you with a tracking number. I only auction quality items, check my history. Auction must settle within 5 days.
