We’ve had this unique antique haberdashery counter for 18 years. This iconic piece we were lucky enough to purchase when ‘Barker and Pollock” fabric store closed down on K’rd. Which is why it comes with brass rulers set into the counter top. Would love to keep but just don't have the room.

The outer edge we have covered with old book covers (like a wall paper) but there are many options you could do to change it up. Paint, Veneer, wall paper, fabric with padding and studs. We’ve added caster wheel to make it easy to move and make it the right height. They can be locked into place. The counter is trimmed with a wooden edge and has the 3 x 1 meter brass rulers set in. The Glass display (measuring 64cm x 40cm) is a draw accessed from back with lock. The back side is painted white and has 5 bays 75cm each. 4 of them have 2 shelves and 1 has just one shelf.

We have used it as a shop counter. But it could also be used for a café, bar, as a reception counter of a studio/office. Suits that raw industrial look.

Made of wood, it’s not immaculate, but that’s part of its character and age marks.
