14ct solid yellow gold Swiss Watch

It is a vintage Swiss 17 Jewel ladies dress watch - Tusal Incabloc. Manufactuer - Swiss Rosieres Watch Co.

Round face, curved glass over white face with gold numbers and stroke points, no second hand. Wind up no battery. Not running at present but a service would have it running again. Flat satin link band, catch is broken. Needs a new catch. Fully hallmarked stamped on back with .585, The Sun Crown and 14Kt. See explanation below.

INCABLOC -The Incabloc shock protection system is the trade name for a spring-loaded mounting system for the jewel bearings that support the balance wheel in a mechanical watch, to protect the wheel's delicate pivots from damage in the event of physical shock, such as if the watch is dropped.

HALLMARKS -There were minimum standards for 14 carat for gold. The imperial crown, the Reichskrone, within a circle representing the sun ( Reichskrone und Sonne) was to be stamped on gold. These marks were stamped on imported items as well as German made items, so the sun and crown can be seen alongside the Swiss hallmarks.The image here on this watch shows a German sun and crown mark alongside a Swiss 14 carat gold hallmark both the 0.585 and 14kt on the watch case back. The sun mark was stamped by the Swiss case manufacturer after the case had been assayed and hallmarked in a Swiss Bureau de Contrêle. I believe the manufactuer is the Swiss Rosieres Watch Co.

SIZE: Band and watch are 18cm long in entirety. Face is 18mm without winder. Winder working, not over wound, needs a service to work.
