Description
A NZ 12 Year Territorial Medal named C SMITH LATE NZEF together with his named and numbered Kings Empire Veterans badge.
Entitled to a trio. Sadly the family kept that and his brother in laws WW1 pair as a Captain RAF (see his items for sale at present).
Cyril Smith served in Egypt and Gallipoli with the Otago MR before service in France with the NZ Field Artillery and the Maori Pioneer Batn. He was shot in the chest in 1918 and discharged as a result. He had service in WW2 as a Leading Aircraftsman in the RNZAF based at Hobsonville and it was there in 1941 that he was issued his 12 Year Medal somewhat belatedly.
