An absolutely stunning, original, pre WW1 Prussian pickelhaube, with all brass fittings (originally gilded). This would be hard to upgrade from.

Apart from the string in the liner, everything else is 100% original, including chinstrap and cockades.

Leather skull is in very good order; minor mis-shaping to rear visor, which could be very easily rectified, as the leather is still supple, (I prefer to leave as is).

Original liner, which has a couple of small holes to the band area and one tongue missing - see photo. Liner is soft and supple.

Screw out spike, for parade plume. Gilding remains to the inside of the spike base, which can be seen when the spike is removed - see photo.

Remnants of gilding remain to front wappen; which is original to pickelhaube - no extra holes.

When I got this it had two split pins missing from the spike base plate, I have added two original split pins.

There is a number hand written in front visor - see photo.

There are stamps in the fear visor which are quite hard to read. They look like 1898, 111 B 10.

Hard to come across an original pickelhaube, with original fittings these days.

Only selling as I am only going to collect 1915 pattern and ersatz pickelhaubes from now on.
