Description
Ooops I have found a THIRD holster for a Colt .45 Peacemaker
It is somewhat INSUBSTANTIAL and has a very ODD attitude of "Hanging" that frankly I am quite unfamiliar with
My very best GUESS is that this holster was intended to HIDE a carried Colt .45 Peacemaker OUT OF SIGHT
POSSIBLY worn at the BACK of a gunbelt? underneath a jacket tail??
If it is obvious to anyone viewing this WHAT the purpose of this STRANGE holster configuration was intended for??
I would be most grateful for any knowledgeable input :-)
These holsters are potentially 50 years OLD and look like they will be good for another lifetime or two's use....VERY ROBUST construction
Only the THREE holsters (and no others available).....So I have timed their auction listing end times to be AFTER all the Colt .45 Peacemakers have been sold and you can have a fair go at the holsters that have been pictured with the Blank Firing Colt pistols FITTING IN them
NO reserve
NO Buy it Now
Starting away at $1.00 .....So that YOU can decide what they are worth
NO REVOLVER is included with this listing (As they will all be "SOLD" by the time these two holster auctions finish
I expect that these would NOT have been "cheap" back when they were originally made?
But it is always worth BUYING QUALITY Leatherwork, as it (quite clearly) LASTS LONGER :-)

Could be part of a Shoulder Holster Rig? m*****a (876 • 10:07 am, Fri, 19 Apr )It certainly COULD WELL BE, it looks like (to ME anyway?) that it is a horizontal carry holster. It SEEMS a little overly "decorated" for a hide-away holster?, but Cowboys seem to LIKE highly ornate items for wearing. If you had a peacemaker in a shoulder holster? I do not think that you would attempt to draw it VERTICALLY. So horizontal does "make sense" THANKS for a useful & intelligent suggestion 🙂 phillipjames (8988 • Friday, 19 April 2024 )Cross draw or belly rig. t*****l (800 • 09:16 pm, Sun, 21 Apr )BOTH are "new formats" for ME, so many thanks for that input phillipjames (8988 • Sunday, 21 April 2024 )
