This individual meteorite I have cut in two so that you can see the insides. It would have weighed a gram or two more before I cut it in half.

This is an actual rock that came from space. It would be an L or H chondrite and is magnetic because of the iron but you might need a rare earth magnet to stick strongly because unlike iron meteorites chondrites only have around 20% metal. (If you want a rare earth magnet I can supply one for $3 - see my other trademe auctions)

Meteorites are named after where they are found but nomads who search the sahara dont keep records so they are named after where the market is (In Morocco - which is North west Africa (Or NWA for short). If classsified they would get a number but there are so many meteorites found that few get numbers unless a rare classification.

COMBINING LOTS FOR REDUCED POSTAGE IS FINE. Small lots under 100 grams add little or no postage costs extra. Maybe a dollar each in some cases. I have lots of mineral specimens listed on trademe and I think cheaper than anything you will find in New Zealand. These are coming from Australia. I used to have a crystal shop in North Shore Auckland (Earthly Treasures) where I had the lowest priced Crystals in New Zealand. I often get old customers asking me to come back as the New Zealand rock clubs and shops dont offer the same value that my shop did. I closed my shop and moved to Australia but through my trademe auctions I can still supply New Zealand with Rocks and crystals at a great price. More will get added all the time.
