Description
$1 Reserve Fossil shark tooth, the auction is for all 15 teeth.
These fossil shark teeth are all from the lower east coast states of the USA. A few are still quite sharp! The chatoyancy of some of these teeth is quite striking (a colour changing effect in the enamel). Three species are represented here - Megalodon (Otodus megalodon), Great White (Carcharodon carcharias) and Lesser White (Carcharodon hastalis)! Please refer to the pics for the size and condition of these fossils. The largest tooth is a Hastalis tooth, it measures 56mm / 2.2" which is well above average for the species. The Lesser White shark is a direct ancestor of the Great White. All of these teeth are genuine fossils.
***NOTE - I've noticed there is only 1 Megalodon tooth in this lot, I will add another to the auction. It will be a similar size and condition to the teeth here. So 16 teeth in total!
