The Kaikoura Star - North Canterbury and South Marlborough news, Friday,Feb,8,1901 Price 3d. I have owned this for at least 20 years, and found it the other day. I think it is original BUT, please be aware they may possibly have reproduced some of these as a promotion etc in the 1970's or 80's, but there is nothing on it to indicate this, possibly the local museum in Kaikoura would know. Anyway it is very interesting. When open flat it is just over 44 cm high and 28.5 cm wide, double this width when fully open up. There is some rips, small holes and some staining. There is 8 pages the size of the front page as in the 2nd pic.
