Early Maori adze head produced in Dolerite - A very tough stone to work, scarce example.

Duff type 2b adze with evidence of hammerdressing to all surfaces. Ground all over to a fine polish. Chipping to front of adze - appears to be in the process of being reworked.

As you can see there is a significant amount of provenance with this piece on the Y form.. I have obscured much of it for privacy reasons. Of-course this information will be there for the new custodian.
