A great original & working example of this Cast Metal Money Box made by H.C.U. Ltd of Christchurch ( H. C. Urlwin Ltd) in the early twentieth century.
When the lever at his back is lowered it lifts his arm to deposit a coin..and at the same time his tongue retracts and his eyes roll back.
I hope my photos give the best description.
One screw missing from its base.
The money box will be packaged with great care for sending.
