A neat little matching set of babby implements - from what I can gather for feeding the noxious little critters, marrow or similar? They're made in solid, stamped & tested sterling silver, with typical early (antique) colonial markings.
I think the maker may be a NZ one from back in the day; APW. Couldn't find anything useful online in my searching, but with the ensh!ttification (thank you for the term, Cory Doctrow) of the search-engines these days pushing a lot of garbage AI and advertising results, I guess that's not too surprising.
They have some age appropriate wear per the photos but are complete and in otherwise good order. They weigh a decent 45.8g, and measure 120mm and 85mm in length respectively.
As always I'm happy to answer any questions I can about the items I list :-) Please click or tap on the photos to enlarge for detail and to judge the condition for yourself.
$1 reserve to go!
Auctions must be paid for within 5 days of winning please.
I don't use the Buy Now options in my auctions.
Please examine the photos accompanying the auction carefully as they form part of the item's description. Most of the items I sell are antique, vintage or second hand, and as such aren't in perfect condition. They often have minor wear and tear as you would expect from items with some age to them.

The 'APW' company (Avon Plate Ware) was based in Whangarei and seems to date from the early 1940s judging from contemporary advertisements for staff vacancies. Based in Rathbone Street, this firm was part of Fisher & Sons (Jewellers) that was later merged with Michael Hill. They did sterling as well as plate. l********3 (1377 • 07:51 am, Wed, 17 Apr )Aha! That’s the one, I know someone had told me about them before but couldn’t remember who or which previous auction it was. THANK YOU! I spent about an hour yesterday searching through previous auctions and my emails trying to find who & what because I’m OCD like that, only to be frustrated :-) lincard (3248 • Wednesday, 17 April 2024 )
