Description
“Andrew Hall can see things others can’t”
An established West Auckland artist specializing in his own personal touch on assemblage art (like its two-dimensional counter-part, collage), of his own art he claims “Sculpture sounds a bit too upmarket – spontaneous multi-dimensional assemblage… that’s what it is”.
Born in 1960, he “has been turning recyclable materials into works of art ever since he can remember”. Andrew is self-taught and has “been an artist right since the word go – as soon as I had motor skills”
Hall’s work “has a humerous edge… a comedy horror type edge, it makes people laugh”. This comedy-horror aspect is certainly demonstrated in this piece “Retrospectacle No. 2” (dated 2004), and eclectic and eerie, but delightful and intriguing composite of toys and miscellanea.
The work measures: 330w x 425h x 70d.
I'm unavailable for collection between August 15th-28th and September 12th-26th.
Pickup is in Eden Terrace. Please feel free to ask any questions, Thanks!
