Marinko Jelaca was born 1954.in Split, Croatia .For the last decade he’s been the most recognized Croatian Printmaker. In his works he’s using Drypiont Printmaking technique.

Being part of rich Mediterranean surroundings , has defined his distinctive expression and unique style.

He’s had numerous exibitions in Europe and overseas( Rome,Tokyo, Wiena, Graz ).

Shapes drew most of his attention and bringing them to life, they’ve become more refined , more lyrical. Exploring the beauty and richness of line and other formal elements(texture, spot, stain, composition) have made him enter the world of an extraordinary vivacious micro-cosmos, charged with energy,intimacy and warmth.
