This is a digital monitor so there's no static. Alarm goes off if movement isn't detected. We purchased the monitor in the UK about 3 years ago but it hasn't been used for the last year.

The Sensor Pad can be used with most baby mattresses. However, it cannot be used with memory foam mattresses or mattresses with a hollow frame.

Monitor is working well but if you have any problems with it, contact us within 7 days of receiving it, return the monitor to us and we'll refund the purchase price.
