Sue Jackson, née Chambers, was born Wellingborough Northamptonshire in 14. Her parents, Harold George Chambers and Emma Soames were one of the first families to move onto the new Croyland housing estate. They made their home at number nine Jubilee Crescent; a small council house that was to see all the comings and goings of their eight children, Sue being number seven.

Her love of family history and journaling has produced these snippets of the ups and downs of what she calls just living and being. Together with a few reflections of what it was like growing up back then: good times, bad times and those life changing events some might call fate! Snippets tied in with some of Northamptonshire's local history.

Her hopes are, that this little pastiche of family life will bring joy into the lives of its' readers; maybe evoking their own personal memories of the 50's and 60's era. Stirring up echoes of lost dreams from long times past.

She calls it her legacy to the younger generation. In the hope they will get inspired to explore these accounts of the lives of their ancestors. So that gathering the harvest of those precious lives will prevent them slipping away without trace.
