Title: Fiddlers Green Author: Ernest Gann Publisher: Hodder and Stoughton Year of Publication: 1954
Hard cover, Average condition, stamps throughout book, ex community library, foxing throughout, dust jacket poor with spine missing
“Probably pulp-fiction of it’s day, but enjoyable. In it, a criminal named Bruno Felkin flees from the police after a drug-deal gone bad, and ends up hiding on a fishing boat at the wharves.”
We have over 600 rare, old, 1st edition, signed or otherwise collectible books that will be coming up for listing in the next few weeks. The books are part of an extensive collection gifted to us from the estate of an avid local book collector., Gary Nichol.
Details of all books available, along with estimated condition and price, will be sent out with each purchase upon request. The books will be sold at 50-70% discount to current market value as determined from online specialist book sites and everything is negotiable - make sure you don’t miss out by saving us as a favourite seller.
A good portion of all proceeds from the books will go towards community projects right here in Kaitaia. Pick up from Kaitaia at the Nga Mahi Mote Tangata Trust next to the rugby fields..
We take care to take photos and write brief descriptions which convey the overall condition of these books and not every detail, and many are old and so please ensure you are happy with the condition before you purchase. Any questions please just ask!
Don’t miss our $1 reserve auctions every (well almost every) Monday and Thursday between 8.00 and 9.30
Books can be bundled for an additional $3 per book for $1 reserve auctions or as negotiated for books purchased using buynow provided it is before the auction closes. We acknowledge these courier charges are a little high but we are trying to make a few dollars from each book to cover handling, packaging and expenses. And it’s all for a good cause.
