The Pawnshop is located in central Christchurch and would be one of the largest Pawn/Secondhand shops in the world. The Pawnshop opened in 1989 and has been in business for over 20 years. Over this time the business has grown to 20 staff and a huge variety of stock covering almost everything imaginable.   Trash Palace was established by the Porirua City Council in 2002, to accept generous donations from the public and sell or recycle them rather than have them go to a landfill.   Still run today in conjunction with the Council, our retail shop at 20 Broken Hill Road, Porirua is now complemented by our online TradeMe store – all providing the public with great value second-hand goods at great prices while also doing our bit for the environment.   Our retail shop is open Monday-Saturday 8:30am – 5:00pm and Sunday 9:00am – 5:00pm. It is only ever closed on Christmas Day, Good Friday, and until 1pm on ANZAC day.   Our TradeMe store is of course open 24/7
