I think it can also be used as a dehumidifier but I have never used it for this purpose.

Great multiple strength fans, a quiet mode and timer settings. For the best cool air there is a compartment at the back that can be filled with water and ice.

Was perfect for us needing to cool a baby's room without it being freezing cold.
