Schweigen Means Silent

Schweigen is German for silent. But there’s more to it than just a name. The IsoDrive motor is externally mounted, so there’s no fan next to sensitive ears in the kitchen. With no motor in the rangehood there’s much less weight in a Schweigen rangehood, so there’s no noisy, damaging vibration.

Schweigen is Efficient

Traditional rangehoods suck air from the cooking area, then push it against gravity and around corners eventually reaching the outside of the home. With Schweigen rangehoods the IsoDrive motor is externally mounted allowing air to be pulled through the system and vented directly into the atmosphere. Traditional systems use around 190 watts or more to operate while the Schweigen systems run on as little as 62 watts.
