Project Glow Wear 2016 Arrow Award Winner Kat Filer took out the Commercial Viability Award with her elegant twist on a high impact cape, designed to illuminate people on foot and bike at night.

The pale yellow shower-proof cape is made of PVE and 100 Nylon, with rubber lace detailing. Carefully placed reflective materials highlight the wearer as they go about their journeys in low light conditions.

Kat's prize included a paid 8-week internship at 100% NZ owned company Arrow Uniforms, where she fine-tuned her design into a commercially manufacturable pattern. Based in Lower Hutt, Arrow Uniforms provide end to end solutions for design manufacture and distribution of uniforms across Australasia.
