Tri-band means the units communicate with each other over a dedicated band, leaving dedicated 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands free for your devices to connect at high speed.
Units look sleek, while their height means they have strong radios for speed.
The base unit has three ethernet ports for connecting hardwired devices. The satellite units have two ports each. You can use them both for devices, or use one of the ports for wired connection back to the base station (ethernet backhaul). All ethernet ports are gigabit speed.
You can plug the base unit into your existing router, or it can be plugged straight into your fibre box (supports VLAN).

I bought the units from PBTech in January 2023, so that's more than one year ago.
