The large 100mm dust port means this 14" bandsaw can be used with a workshop dust extractor without needing to reduce the hose size and air flow. The open stand allows for a dust extractor hose to run easily to this 14" bandsaw from any direction, whereas with a closed or cabinet stand, there may need to be more bends to get it to the dust port. Bends in hoses cause the air flow to be reduced, ideally dust hoses should remain as straight as possible for as far as possible. While the slot on this table does not have a standard 3/4” wide x 3/8” deep mitre slot, the table is quite large. This allows for good material support, therefore giving the user a safe place to work. This extra table area also lends itself to using magnetic feather boards, further providing a safe work environment.
