Description
Nikon AF Micro Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 Macro telephoto prime lens Nikon F mount
Nikon's first autofocus 105mm lens, released in 1990. Note that this lens is separate to the slightly later AF-D version released in 1993. This is the first 105mm lens able to focus to 1:1 (life-size) magnification by itself.
APPEARANCE Excellent cosmetic condition with some slight surface wear.
OPTICS Clean clear glass with a few bits of internal dust. No fungus, fog, scratches or other flaws.
FUNCTIONALITY The area on the lens mount with the electronic contacts has been damaged (see photo 3). Autofocus and electronic communication of the aperture value to the camera does not work reliably. The lens works fine when used with manual focus and manual aperture control, so it works great on manual focus film cameras or when adapted to modern mirrorless cameras.
BUNDLED ITEMS Includes front and rear lens caps.
Sample photos taken with this lens on my Nikon Df.

Can you put up a photo of the entire lens mount from the back please b*******k (870 • 05:03 pm, Mon, 15 Apr )Photo added alekhine (1286 • Monday, 15 April 2024 )Seller added 1 photo Seller comment Monday, 15 April 2024 So it would be fine on my Nikon DSLR D3100, using manual focus and aperture priority? c*****s (2252 • 05:43 pm, Sat, 20 Apr )For cameras that use electronic aperture communication with the lens (like the D3100), this will not work. However, it will work in full manual mode if you tape over the contacts and set the aperture on the lens, I tried it on my D80 just now. alekhine (1286 • Saturday, 20 April 2024 )
