Description
Original piano key model from circa 1978. One of the first PAL Beta VCRs. Resolution up to 270 horizontal lines, audio 50 - 8,000 Hz, electronic timer, built-in RF modulator with switchable test signals.
All functions tested in play and record, and appear to be working okay (though obviously as this unit is now pushing 40 years old I can't guarantee it will be completely trouble-free). I have uploaded screenshots from a Kenny Everett tape for an example of the picture quality. A complete set of new belts purchased from the now-defunct TradeTech were fitted in 2012, with little use since. Comes with a pair of UHF-to-RCA plug adaptors so you can use standard cables to hook it up.
Cosmetics - 6/10. Chip on door of tuner cover. Cover missing off the RF modulator slot at the back. Assorted minor scuffs & scratches on front and top as you'd expect from something of this age.
I will provide free delivery in the greater Christchurch area.
NOTE: This is a Beta format machine - it will not play VHS tapes. If you don't understand the difference, do NOT bid on this item.
