Description
I don't know the proper name for this device but it was used with a photo enlarger for checking the enlarger focus before making a print.
It almost certainly dates from the early 1950s. There is a logo on the side which may help identify it.
it has a plastic or Bakelite body and comprises an internal mirror and half mirror as well as the frosted glass screen.
It comes with the original cardboard case.

Questions & Answers (1)
does it function well? is the glass fung? Thanks! c*********7 (36 • 02:55 pm, Sat, 20 Apr )looking at it more carefully now, there are some small white spots on the inside of the top glass and some dust on the internal mirror. I don't see any way of opening it non-destructively for cleaning. I have added a couple of photos showing the spots on the top glass and mirror. v12mike (64 • Saturday, 20 April 2024 )
