Description
This is a rare survivor (cant find any info on-line).
It is an electric tone arm for playing 78RPM records, and appears to be intended for fitting as an upgrade to a mechanical wind-up gramophone. It has a holder for fitting a traditional 78 RPM needle. There is a rheostat volume control fitted in the base of the unit (hence I don't think that this was factory fitted to an electric gramophone or radiogram).
It is marked "L.S. Gordon Company Chicago USA. This company made record players, but cant see any product that matches this.
There is some surface rust, but I think that it would clean up OK. I have not tested it.
This is only the tone arm, not a complete gramophone!
