XUELIN IHIFI, 960 DUAL-CORE, DAC DAP (TWIN DAC, 'DIGITAL AUDIO PLAYER) 12/ 12's old DAP in Premium condition. A HI-END, HI-RES, COMPACT STEREO PALYER - Lightly used & recently supplanted by my new FiiO X5, Gen 3, which is comparable to this Unit/ Device in sound quality but includes BT (& APT-X). Runs Linux thru a Via 1.2 Ghz SoC which means it activates quickly enough BUT it is the 'A & K'-Beating DAC/ Amp combo that makes for a beautiful noise: Compact but substantial unit, with line-out & optical fibre (Toslink) & Coax RCA connectivity, as well as 3.5mm headphone jack. UI/ GUI is very straight forward and intuitive (All-English) & controls are push-button & super responsive & You get to view Your actions via a clear, two inch LCD. 'ui' displayi Runz Dual Wolfenden 8740 DAC's thru Dual AD8397 Amps (Rail to Rail) with 20-20Khz @ 0.0001% THD. Power comes from a 1200 mAh Lipoly Batt, which seems to be good for 6 - 8 hours of play - Comes with a 12V Adapter Pluggy=thingy & takes about 50 mins to juice. Has 16GB Onboard RAM (Memory - which is quite a few tracks) & will take an up to 64GB Micro-SD Card. Cards are easily changed about & inserted via the tension-damped, SD Slot on top of the device.
Produces a stunningly beautiful sound stage & reproduces all music genres (The Xuelin is as eclectic as You are) with equally, superior aplomb. As I say I've gone rogue & although I suspect this produces a better result than my FiiO, the FiiO gets the nod given, BT & APT-X. If You've ever wanted to hear just how good music can sound at a very reasonable price-point, this device will not disappoint. Xuelin is a Chinese company where Astell & Kern are also manufactured; As I say, I'd be inclined to audition this beasty & pocket the $600 Plus on the A & K.
