Description
This is a buck mode LED driver which outputs approximately 700-750mA and can be used to drive a 10W led (at about 7W) from an input voltage of 12v+, great for powering a 10W led from a car battery at the campsite (but be careful you don't drain your starter battery flat !!)
Absolute maximum voltage is 24v. Note that the capacitor is 35v rated, so you might want to change that for a 50v rated one if you will use 24v or close to.
You can also supply 12V AC (eg from an MR16 lighting type supply).
THIS IS NOT A MAINS POWER DEVICE, low voltage only.
- This is buck mode - input voltage must be higher than the total forward voltage of the led (for a 10W led 3x3 type LED such as I sell, an input of 12v+ works).
The output is around 700-750mA constant current.
Input polarity doesn't matter but you will need to solder wires to the input side.
The red wire is output positive, the white output negative, solder/connect to your LED.
