The Advance J3 Signal Generator is a Low Frequency instrument with a 600 Ohms centre tapped floating balanced output. This output which is metered gives 15V into 600 Ohms (30V EMF). Additional outputs are also available, a 1W low impedance output, a square wave output and a low distortion output. Switched step attenuators give 60dB of attenuation and the variable level control up to a further 20dB of attenuation. The frequency range is from 10Hz to 100 kHz in four decade ranges. The instrument comes with a full operators and maintenance manual including layout and circuit diagrams. I’ve also included a bonus copy of the manual for a slightly newer version of the instrument which appears to be near identical. This is a great instrument but as I rarely use it these days I have decided to let it go as part of my ongoing downsizing efforts.
