For sale is a Sega Mega Drive, modded for a much more enjoyable gaming experience. Once you experience these mods, you will never go back to a stock Mega Drive again.

60 Hz MOD:

Unmodified NZ, AUS, UK or any other PAL region Mega Drive consoles run at 50 Hz, this means that your games runs 17% slower than NTSC US or Japanese counterparts, in addition to this, the screen size is smaller, due to having big black borders on top and bottom. This console has a toggle switch installed for an easy switch between 50 and 60 Hz. You will see and hear a noticeable difference when you switch to 60 Hz, as the game will display in FULL SCREEN and will run at FULL SPEED. Play the games the way they were designed to be played.

Composite AV MOD:

The original RF video module which came bundled with Mega Drive produces the lowest quality picture. This console has been modified with Composite RCA AV outputs, which provide a much sharper/cleaner picture. It also allows you to connect the console to your LCD or Plasma HDTV. No tuning required, just plug'n play!

PAL 60 Color Fix MOD:

An additional oscillator circuit has been built and installed on this machine, in order for the console to produce a color image while running in 60 Hz.

NOTE: Some Games refuse to boot in 60 Hz, if this happens, boot the game in 50 Hz first, then when on game title screen, switch to 60 Hz.
