The stress card works best at room temperature, between 21-24°C. Liquid Crystal changes colour in response to temperature. When not in use, the stress square will stay black. If you’re relaxed, your skin will be warm; the chip will be blue. If you’re tense, your hand will be cold; the chip will stay black.

Troubleshooting

The sensor pad will not change colour below 21°C. To find out if it is you or the Stress card, Hold your hand on your back, just below the neck. If your hand feels cold, it's probably you. Otherwise, run the Stress card under hot water or hold it up to a heat source like a light bulb. If it changes colour, the Stress card is working.

When this product is shipped in winter or to especially cold climates, the Liquid Crystal can go into suspended animation. Revive it by placing near a radiator or another mild heat source.
