Firewood – As much as you and your mates can take away between 9am and 4pm on one day of your choice up to and including Monday 21 August.

We have just bought a property on which there is a large and unsightly pile of wood. It’s too big a job for us to do anything with it, so if you are fit and muscled, have a massive truck, ute or trailer and have loads of fit and muscled mates to help you, we invite you to take as much of it as you can carry away in 7 hours – as many trips in and out as you want.

We think the wood has been lying outside for about 3 years, so it’s well seasoned. It would however need to be dried before use as firewood, as it has been outside.

There are large logs and smaller bits which might be good for kindling. There are also tree stumps which you’re welcome to chainsaw down to ground level for more wood if you like. We are happy for you to chainsaw any of the wood into smaller bits on site.

The wood is lying in a paddock in a pile near the top of a slope and has a wide access gate into the paddock at the top of the slope.

We will put the auction up for as many 7-hour days as it takes to get rid of the pile.

Two awesome traders have bought a day so far, but despite taking loads away, have not really made huge inroads into the pile, so we have left the same photos for the moment - definitely more than 3/4 of the pile is left. It really is enormous.
