This is a 4-seater solid wooden dining table which can be expanded / converted to double its size so it becomes a 6-seater. As a 4-seater it looks more like a square table and as a 6-seater it's a rectangular table. The top of the table has been painted and there are quite a few scratch marks on the paint. Ideally you need to strip the paint and polish the wood below, or it can be painted over with a similar or different colour....or you can just throw a dining table cover on it! :-) The 4 chairs were bought separately from an antique shop couple of years ago for $400 and we were told it was mahogany, but this has not been verified. We sanded and polished the wood frames of the chairs and re-covered the seats with a beige material recently.
