Qun (Qhom) Iram - 100% SILK Hand Knotted Rug (RRP $58,000)

This Beautiful rug has had timber tannins spilt on the end of the rug, which has left a stain. (Please see photos)

Size: 1.97m x 2.97m

The Rug is 100% Silk, Hand knotted. The Rug is from the city of Qun (QHOM) Iran, It has a central round floral medallion and is placed on a cream 'islimi' field. The central panel is framed by a floral meandering border with 6 guard. Colors used are terracotta, Blue and Green.

We have a photocopy of the certificate of valuation for $58,000 (Personal details redacted)

It was evaluated by a very well known respected rug company. We didn't ask about a value, it was a certificate of valuation. Not really sure what you are basing your opinion on, but we have googled other Qum rugs in NZ and some are over $200,000 so it is very possible this retailed for 58k twice_nz (8804) • Sunday, 26 May 2024
