Boron is one of the 114 elements that make up the Earth and every member of the plant world relies on it to grow. Boron plays an essential role in a plants reproductive cycle, controlling flowering, pollen production, and seed development. Boron is also essential for healthy animal and human growth. Boron is required for the maintenance of bone and normal blood levels of oestrogen and testosterone. Boron deficiency in humans has been linked to arthritis, osteoporosis, and depleted brain functions.

NZ soils have a naturally low level of Boron in it.

Application: Vegetable and flower gardens: Apply OrganiBOR at the rate of 10 grams per square meter every 3 years for annual gardens like vegetable gardens where the plants are removed every year.

Apply OrganiBOR at the rate of 10 grams per square meter every 5 years for established gardens where the plants are not removed on an annual basis.

Fruit Trees: Apples, apricot, berrys, citrus, passionfruit, peach, pear, plum, and grapes - apply at the rate of 10 grams per square meter every 4 years Olive trees - apply at the rate of 15 grams per square meter every 4 years Walnut trees - apply at the rate of 30 grams per square meter every 5 years Avocados - for Zutano root stock avocados apply at the rate of 30 grams per square meter every 3 years, for reed root stock avocados apply at the rate of 10 grams per square meter every 3 years. If you do not know your root stock apply at the rate of 10grams per square meter every 3 years.

Pasture: OrganiBOR can be applied to pasture to promote clover growth and also to help ensure that your animals are receiving enough boron in their diet, in this case we recommend applying at a rate of about 30kg per H/A. If you are doing a large area it can be done by hand but is usually alot easier to use some kind of mechanical spreader.

OrganiBOR can be applied any time time of the year, but late winter or spring is the best time.
