Oriental Theme Musical Jewellery Box

Box is lacquered wood with paua inlay into painted design. When opened a little ballerina begins to turn and a musical theme is played ( I think it is Lara's Theme).There are mirrors in the underside of the lid.

Box measures approx 42.5 cm long, 17 cm wide, 11 cm high. The key to wind up the ballerina is in the base of the box. A key to lock the box is included (turn it twice to lock/unlock).

The box bears some fine marks and occasional small chip. The interior felt covering has some dirt and marks.

This dates to at least the early 1980s and most probably is even earlier.
