Sterling Silver George IV pocket watch
Overall good condition for age with some minor faults as to be expected with age
These include a minor hairline crack in the enamel under the hours VI & VII and some light pitting dents on the back of the external case.
Watch is in working condition but the key supplied is too small to fit and wind the watch. Have heard it tick but can’t wind it fully.
Fusee movement with white enamel dial, Roman numerals.
Movement signed D Ritchie of London
Both cases hallmarked for Birmingham 1827 by Benjamin Kirby, a noted watch case maker.
Total weight 132 grams - a substantial sized pocket watch.
Outer case 34 grams, inner movement and case 98 grams
Size approximately 5.5cm in diameter.
