Verge NZ is a full-service scaffolding business installing and hiring scaffolding and edge protection for both residential and commercial projects.

We are currently looking for an experienced and organised Office Administrator to join our office based in Mount Maunganui.

This is a part time opportunity working around 25 hours per week and could suit school hours.

You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the office day-to-day, working alongside the Operations Team and assisting the Directors as required. This will involve a variety of Administration and Accounts functions including:
  • Assisting the Operations team with job management (entering information for quotes, entering jobs into the work schedule, maintaining customer information etc.)
  • Accounts Payable
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Debtor Management
  • Payroll
  • Yard related tasks such as receiving goods in conjunction with the Yard team and allocating to a purchase order
  • Health and safety
  • General reception (handling incoming queries via phone, email and walk-ins)
  • Ensuring the premises are kept clean and tidy
  • Other general office and administration duties as required

Our ideal candidate will have a background in office administration and accounts and demonstrate the following:
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide range of people
  • High standards of professionalism and personal presentation
  • Ability to work as part of a wider team whilst also working autonomously
  • Organised, self-motivated and work well under pressure with the ability to meet job deadlines
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and high-level of productivity
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational and file management skills
  • Competent with Smartly Payroll and MS Office standard Suite (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Experience with Xero and job management systems
