This position is based within a professional body dedicated to servicing the needs of its members across New Zealand. As the Management Accountant you will serve a key purpose in the financial administration and broad accounting services across the organisation.
We are seeking a candidate with demonstrated skills in a similar position who can hit the ground running to work within a team passionate about the contribution they provide to this important sector.
In this full-time permanent role, you will be working in a small team of 4 and will be reporting into a friendly, professional, and supportive Finance Manager.
Key duties for this role include:
• Preparing financial statements
• Provide variance analysis, financial reports and advice across the organisation
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets
• Support the audit process
• Prepare a range of financial statements
• Create financial reports for board meetings
What you will need to be successful in this role:
• Previous management accountant experience
• experienced in producing reports, creating budgets and the preparation of financial statements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite , Xero and other financial software
• Sound knowledge of the compliance requirements of trusts, unions, and not-for-profits
• A broad understanding of accounting systems and processes
• Be CA/CPA qualified or on the pathway to achieving this.
