Heavy Diesel Mechanic

• Napier location, well-established company, with opportunities to grow
• $38-$40 per hour + weekly tool allowance, 45 hours guaranteed
• Must be an experienced Diesel mechanic eligible to work in NZ

About the opportunity:

Due to growth within the company, we are looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a dynamic team in Napier. Our client is a well-established company that values its staff. Working in a busy workshop you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and completing preventive maintenance on a variety of truck brands working alongside an experienced team. Working Monday to Friday 7 am till 5 pm and working a half day on Saturday.

Key responsibilities:

• Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of trucks.
• Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.
• Collaborating with a team of skilled mechanics and technicians to achieve top-notch results.

About you:

• Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel engines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
