Heavy Diesel Mechanic

• Timaru location, well established company, Large workshop
• $40-$44 per hour + medical insurance + 42 hours guaranteed + overtime rates
• Must be a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic & be eligible to work in NZ

About the opportunity:

Due to growth within the company, we are looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a dynamic team in Timaru. Our client is a well-established company that values its staff. Working in a busy workshop you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and completing preventive maintenance on a variety of Truck brands working alongside an experienced team.

Key duties:

• Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of trucks
• Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.
• Collaborating with a team of skilled mechanics and technicians to achieve top-notch results.
• Completing relevant paperwork.

About you:

• Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel engines and heavy Vehicles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
